Montgomery County Fair Mural
Created for the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair’s 75th anniversary, this 127-foot mural brings the energy of the fairgrounds into one panoramic wall. The composition moves from agriculture into the lights and motion of the midway.
Livestock, rides, food, and familiar fair moments give the mural its rhythm. It was designed to feel recognizable to regular fairgoers and fun to explore up close.
The mural includes a few people longtime fairgoers would recognize, including Ed Hogan in the Big Cheese. After learning he passed during the design process, it felt especially important to commemorate him and get his likeness right.
The #MoCoFair monster truck and towering stilt walker have made the mural a natural photo and selfie backdrop. Painted across two fair seasons, the wall became part of the fair experience while it was still in progress.
